Speaker FAQs

Join our next lineup!

Do you belong on the SubSummit stage? We’d love to hear from you! As you submit your speaker application, please keep in mind our three guidelines for selecting amazing speakers:

  1. No “speaker circuit” applicants.
We’re not looking for those who make their living by talking about general business. We’re seeking out experts that live, breathe and have been in the thick of subscription commerce and can speak from credible experience in the industry.
  2. No outdated, “heard that before” information.
We strive to educate, inspire and delight our audience with every session. If you have groundbreaking takeaways for growing D2C subscription brands, we’d love to get to know you.
  3. No lackluster performances.
Hundreds of businesses are coming to expand their knowledge and get inspired. No one wants to sit through a dull presentation, let alone miss valuable information because of it. SubSummit speakers should be able to hold the room’s attention.

Frequently Asked Speaker Questions

How do I suggest a speaker?

You may nominate yourself, a colleague, and even someone you may not know personally by submitting our speaker application.

Do I get a speaking slot by being a sponsor?

No. Being a SubSummit sponsor/exhibitor includes many benefits, but it does not guarantee a session. If you are a supplier (B2B brand), you are still welcome to submit an application.

How long are SubSummit sessions?

Depending on the type of session, SubSummit presentations range from 20-30 minutes each.

What speaking opportunities are available?

You can gain SubSummit speaker status by being a keynote speaker, panelist, moderator or onsite podcast guest. The SubSummit speaker team carefully determines the most fitting session for each approved speaker.

Do you pay speakers?

The SubSummit does not typically pay its speakers. However, we will provide hotel accommodations and cover a set amount of travel costs that are determined prior to the event.

What are the benefits of being a SubSummit speaker?

Being a part of the SubSummit roster helps you lend your voice to growing businesses, expand your network, increase brand exposure, and be seen as a leader in the subscription indsutry. Additionally, you’ll be invited to attend a private reception exclusively for speakers and select business founders.

Do I have to attend the whole conference?

While it is not required to attend the full conference, most speakers do to maximize all the networking opportunities. (Remember, the SubSummit is the only conference to bring together all six segments of the subscription industry!)
