When is the deadline to apply?

Applications for the 2023 Pitch Competition Presented by Praella are closed. Stay tuned for 2024 applications.

What will the Pitch Competition winner receive?

The winner of the 2023 Pitch Competition received $50,000 in cash and prizes!

What should my application video include?

Your 45-sec./1-minute video should include the following:

  • Introduce yourself
  • Describe your company’s product/service
  • Explain the inspiration behind your brand
  • Tell us how you will use the prize package if you win!
Once you’ve submitted the video on the form, make sure to upload it and share it on your LinkedIn while tagging @subsummit in your post! 
What are the criteria to be considered for the competition?

You own/operate a DTC subscription business that’s less than 2 years old OR you implemented a subscription offering within your business model in the last two years.

You can tell us what you plan on doing with the prize package if you win it.

What kind of companies are you looking for?

Growth-minded businesses with owners who are excited to share their stories, have carefully crafted strategies to take their companies to the next level, but need additional support to make it happen.

What was the 2022 event like?

After hundreds of applications were received, only four contestants competed for the $50,000 grand prize in Dallas. Watch a replay of the 2021 event in Orlando, Fla. right here.

If I didn’t get selected for the first round, do I have to re-submit an application for the second round?

No! You already spent valuable time filling out our application, we’ll take it from there. If you have not been selected for the first round, the SubSummit committee will look at your application and determine if you should be featured in the second round.

How long do I have to pitch for?

Semifinalist pitches happening virtually should last NO longer than three minutes. The final round will allow contestants to pitch for five minutes. Each pitch will be followed by questions from the judges throughout each round.

Where will the Pitch Competition take place?

Contestants will pitch virtually during the first two rounds of the competition and then pitch LIVE at SubSummit 2023 in Dallas on May 31.

Do I have to purchase a SubSummit 2023 ticket if I am a Pitch Competition finalist?

No! In fact, you will receive a FREE SubSummit tickets, free hotel stay for up to 2 nights at The Sheraton Dallas, and up to $500 USD in travel reimbursement!

Who are the judges?

The SubSummit 2023 Pitch Competition judges were subscription professionals with valuable insights on what it takes to be successful in the industry.
