Welcome to SubSummit, the world’s largest direct-to-consumer subscription conference, where industry leaders, trusted solutions providers, and the entire subscription community gather every year!
If you operate or work for a women-owned business in the e-commerce space, here’s your chance to take three days to invest in you and your company’s future.
There is no other conference where you can walk in alone and leave three days later with a phone filled with new contacts, new best friends, and a mentor dedicated to helping you grow your subscription business.
Meet inspiring women entrepreneurs you want to learn from, connect with business owners who may look up to you for advice, and laugh with others who are on the same journey as you.
To facilitate these connections, SubSummit organizes a Women in Subscription meetup that takes place in the middle of the Exhibitor Hall. Everything is designed to help you succeed as a woman entrepreneur, whether it’s the sessions or the dedicated networking time.

Being a woman entrepreneur means you belong to an amazing community of over a million badass business owners who share your passion, success, but also struggles. However, it can be tricky to find all the business owners you want to connect with online. In fact, women are close to 30% less likely to have as strong of a network as men.
If you want to build and grow your network, then get to know women just like you in person at SubSummit!
Congratulations! You’ve made it past the startup phase, and that’s definitely something to celebrate! But there’s also a lot more work to do, and it’s time to get ahead.
What is your long-term plan? Short-term? How can you refine your processes to promote efficiency across the board?
The good news is that, now that you’re out of the startup phase, you no longer have to do everything yourself (or with a small staff)!
Think about what you like doing the least, or what you’re not great at, and hire someone to fill in. This will free you up while maximizing your revenue. The more you grow, the more your business requires you to think big picture and keep in mind the long-term plan. You can’t do that by focusing on the day-to-day tasks that need to be taken care of. You are far too valuable.
Find people who share your passion and agree with your mission, and empower them to be the best they can be at the job you’ve tasked them with. Remember, hiring is not a one-time investment. It’s an ongoing process that requires you to build others up and provide them with resources that allow them to grow within the company.
Did you know that partnerships can contribute anywhere between 18% to 28% of your company’s overall revenue?
Whether you’ve never partnered with a solutions provider or are working with a few, there is always room for growth through partnerships, as long as they make sense for your business. Just like you do for hiring, think about what makes the most sense for you and your business.
Are you getting overwhelmed by shipping orders? Is your checkout flow fully optimized? There’s a lot that goes into running a thriving subscription business, and partnering with the right solutions provider can solve a lot of your current and future headaches.
While there’s no shortage of funding opportunities for business owners, women entrepreneurs often draw the short end of the stick.
In 2018, 73% of women said they struggled obtaining business loans. Meanwhile, investment companies gave women-owned startups less than half of the funding they did with men.
In 2020, women entrepreneurs received loans that were 33% smaller than male business owners’.
Every gender, every color, every race, everyone deserves a fair chance, including you. As long as you have a valuable product, a business plan, and are passionate, you should never be denied the opportunity to pursue your dreams.
Since 2016, SubSummit has invested close to $400,000 in subscription businesses, including several women-owned brands. The last two winners of the Pitch Competition were both women, and they walked away from the conference with a total of $70,000 in cash and prizes combined.
Now, it’s your turn!
2022 was a historic year for women executives. Nearly 9% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, according to a recent report.
Progress is cause for celebration, sure, but there’s still a long way to go for women to represent at least half of Fortune 500 executives.
The future looks promising, though, as hundreds of women have taken the subscription industry by storm and operate household brands like BootayBag, CurlMix, Scentbird, and others!
The women in subscription are resilient, innovative, and inspiring. See for yourself.
If you operate or work for a women-owned business, there’s a lot to be celebrated already, and so much more in the months to come.
But let’s not raise a glass just yet, at least not until we can do it all together, surrounded by all the incredible women entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of the subscription industry.
And if you want to raise your glass even higher, then why not do it while holding the most prestigious trophy in all of subscription?
