Meet Jen Clyde, the founder & CEO of The Giv Box. A single mama of 4 kids and a with a strong background as a Fashion Entrepreneur for the past 17 years. My story is a little different than the average and it’s been a wild ride, but through it all my life has been changed for the best and I hope the Giv Box can change yours a little bit, month by month, as you connect to inspiring stories of others around the world and experience the joys of giving, each time you’re shopping on-trend accessories.
I started my love for business at the young age of 26 years old. I started my first owned Fashion Company with 4 kids in tow, learning so much about myself and how to become a self-motivator daily in hopes to be a great example to my children to follow your dreams even if you don’t have much startup cash or know where to start. After a very successful opening and 3-year long run, I decided to open up another store, and another. Through much trial and error mixed with success and much networking, I picked up my own Fashion Segment with channel ABC4 Utah on their morning show, Good Things Utah.
In 2010 after growing a successful Fashion brand and following, I decided to sell my storefronts to focus on online sales, and growing my fashion consulting business. After consulting for less than 6 months I was asked to join a startup company to travel the world and be head of Product and Sales. Wanting to learn more about corporate business I signed the contract.
I was the executive salesperson for the brand Color By Amber and set out to make a positive impact on the world and the fashion industry through the products we designed and sold each day. I have learned along the way about self-improvement, self-love, and everything that comes with being the only girl in the board room fighting for my voice to be heard. I have listened, learned, been through hell, messed up, loved, started businesses, fought, failed, listened again, taken risks, failed again, gotten divorced, grown, learned to love myself again, and now I am here. After 7 years of being in a corporate job, I risked it all to follow my passion and started The Giv Box in 2018.
Our mission is to show you that giving doesn’t have to be hard. So many people want to give back but they don’t know how, or they don’t think they can afford it. What if we told you that we have a solution, by creating products that you will naturally buy anyway and then connect them to bettering our world. You will buy accessories anyways, so why not buy the ones that will do good without sacrificing good style? We believe that you can still have great looking accessories and a unique shopping experience while connecting to more meaningful stories, and by doing so, you will have a more meaningful life. Once you start doing good by wearing impactful accessories, you won’t want to look good any other way.
